Terms of Service

CutClip lets you turn long-form video into short vertical clips. You can bring video into the Service in two ways: by uploading a video file directly, or by connecting a Google Drive folder you own or control. CutClip then uses automated processing — including third-party AI services — to transcribe the audio, identify highlight segments, cut clips, and generate captions and hashtags.

You can review the resulting clips in your library, download them, and, if you choose to connect a TikTok account, publish them directly to TikTok.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at the email below if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

You retain all ownership rights in the videos and files you upload or import ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content to CutClip, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, transcode, and transmit Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you — including sending audio and video data to our AI processing providers to generate transcripts, captions, and clips, and, when you explicitly initiate a publish action, sending a clip to TikTok on your behalf using your connected TikTok account. This license ends when Your Content is deleted from the Service, except for backups retained for a limited period as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are solely responsible for Your Content and represent that you own it, or have all rights necessary to upload it, process it with the Service, and publish it to third-party platforms such as TikTok.

You agree not to:

• Upload or import content you do not have the rights to use or distribute
• Upload content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, obscene, or that violates a third party's privacy or intellectual property rights
• Use the Service to publish content that violates TikTok's Community Guidelines or Terms of Service, or the terms of any other platform you connect
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits, quotas, or access controls
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Service's operation or security
• Use the Service to send spam or engage in coordinated inauthentic behavior

Transcripts, highlight selections, captions, and hashtags are generated automatically using third-party AI models and may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before publishing it, and CutClip is not liable for any consequence of publishing unreviewed AI-generated content.

The Service allows you to connect third-party accounts, including Google Drive (to import video files) and TikTok (to publish clips). Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, content, policies, or practices of Google, TikTok, or any other third-party platform. You may disconnect a connected account at any time from your account settings; doing so revokes our access to that platform going forward.

CutClip currently operates on a free basis while in beta. If we introduce paid subscription plans, the applicable pricing, billing cycle, and refund terms will be presented to you before you subscribe and will be added to this page. We will provide reasonable advance notice before any change that affects an active paid subscription.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service, or if required by law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately; data deletion following termination is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated output will be accurate. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including loss of data, revenue, or account access on a third-party platform such as TikTok — arising from your use of the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms on this page with a new effective date and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, unless otherwise required by mandatory law in your jurisdiction.
